Strange Body Battery Readings

So I've been watching my Boddy Battery suffer over the last few days and I can't help but feel it's linked to my Instinct Solar battery level!

Slept last night and gained +6 (from 5) to reach 11. Whoop! was down to 11% Battery (still 2d forecast mind) so put on charge earlier. Put it back on when I went to get lunch and i've jumped to 42? How's that possible!?

Back on charge (was only about 50%) and having now put back on at 100% I'm at an adjusted 32?

All seems off and not very accurate?

  • Maybe it processed the time it was charging as no movement ie you were perfectly rested?

I don't know how the algorithm works, but if I've had my watch off for a while it does take a day or so to recalibrate to correct levels. Once done, I find my body battery very accurate, in terms of the level displayed general reflects how I actually feel. Although I do have a friend who reckons it is a waste of time. I guess for best accuracy the watch needs to be worn as long as possible with the heart rate enabled. How long are you sleeping?? 8hours normally recharges my watch +30 to +50 ish

  • To be fair, that's a pretty good explanation (no movement, perfect rest). In reality my stress levels were high and It should have been in the minus!

The gain of +6 overnight was from 7h 30m of sleep (1h4 Deep, 4h33 Light, 1h53 REM). That's what makes no sense; There doesn't appear to be consistency to the measurements.

Always have HR and PulseOx on as i'm a data vulture.

In comparison, last night I slept 6hr 15m (1h33 Deep, 3h47 Light, 55m REM) and went "20" to 56 (20 being what was left after the day above and working through to 23:00 when I suspect it was closer to Nil).
