My Fenix 6, 6X and Delta all charge from 20% to 100% in a couple hours. Instinct solar tactical arrived about 40% charged but took EIGHT HOURS to charge to 100% on same charger and cable.
Wondering if others experience same.

no, definitely not that long. It is slow, but I can usually go from about 20 to 100 in an hour or two. You might try putting it on a higher output charger brick.
Try cleaning your contact points on the watch
Mine charges pretty slow too.
I had this problem until I changed to the cable that came with my Instinct. This solved it for me. Fenix cable took forever!
Slow charging when using a generic USB wall plug, significantly quicker using USB3 on PC.
Will try at some point with my 1+ Dash charger and see how that fares.
I charge mine now using a wall plug and the supplied instinct cable and it charges as expected. Initially I used a fenix 5 cable and it took hours to charge. The supplied cable clips in much more securely. Also tried a Venu cable and it was taking hours as well.
Thanks. Will try Instinct cable I guess. Brand new watch and 1st charge. I have 3 other curren gen Garmin watches, so generally use same cable. Connects solidly, but maybe there is something different about the cable.
Yeah thanks, I was charging it with my old VA4 cable. Definitely seems to charge faster with the Instinct cable. I assumed since the plug was the same they were interchangeable!
Me too! They look identical but must differ slightly.
Could be also just due to a dirty or oxydated contacts on the old cable.
