Respiration rate on Garmin Instinct Solar

Hey there,

I recently bought the Garmin Instinct Solar and am super satisfied with it. What I have not been able to figure out yet, is how to get the respiration data. In the GC app if you go to your sleep data it shows the respiration section but no data is shown.

Any setting I need to change? And if so, how?

Thanks and yeah .. I noticed. Strange thing is that the GC App also gives the respiration overview (that doesn't show any data) and the SpO2 overview, that wasn't turned on while sleeping. So it is on…

Garmin Instinct Solar can't measure breathing data.

This is not breathing. :-) This is blood oxygen saturation....it is fine too.

Thanks! Turned it on and will see tomorrow how that went while sleeping.

And that is the SpO2 measurement but that one didn't track during sleep either so a good help :)

I have the same issue. According to Garmin, the Instinct series (seems to include the original Instinct) features Advanced Sleep Monitoring. Am I missing something? I can't find a reference to respiration being excluded from this device.

I thought it was weird the Instinct Solar didn't record respiration rate.

I'm pretty sure we all know this, the question is, why not? The Instinct Tactical Solar seems to have the ability to monitor Pulse Ox, but not respiration. Seems like a significant oversight for such an expensive upgrade.
