Instinct E real measurements

Hi all. I own an instinct 3 45 mm and really was surprised that the real measurements are not 45 mm, but 48 mm. For me too big, except for hiking.

I still want a smaller instinct for daily wear, but can someone tell me the real (!) measurements?

I know I could test it myself but it seems I can only find them online.

Sincerely

Erik

  • The dimensions in the specifications always show the diameter of the bottom plate (or also of the front bezel), so the true width including the buttons is about 3 mm bigger. It is the same at all Instinct models (and in fact at all other Garmin watches most likely too). All the 45 mm models incl. Crossover have 45 mm case, and ~48 mm true outer width.

If you need a smaller watch, have a look at Instinct 2S, or Instinct 3E 40 mm. Compare them at Garmin | Product Compare. Each of them has certain advantages, and you'll probably find I2S for a bargain. I3E, unlike the standard I3 models, is in many aspects a quite a bit more limited watch than I2, so personally I would rather go with I2S if I needed inexpensive small watch.
