Garmin Instinct endless charging loop

My Garmin instinct does not turn on. When charger is placed on device the low battery sign shows up and the watch starts up for a few seconds with the Garmin start up logo showing then it goes back to the low battery sign. This keeps repeating.

    I am sorry to hear you are having this issue. If the watch is not charging, there are some additional steps we would recommend trying. 

    • Cleaning the Charging Contacts on a Garmin Watch
    • Try another charging port (For this, we recommend a computer power, or wall outlet. Try to avoid USB hubs or portable power sources)
    • Try another cable. If needed, you can reach out to Product Support about getting a replacement cable. 
    • If this is still not taking a charge, we would recommend trying a full factory reset with these steps: 
    1. Ensure the watch is powered off.
      • You may need to hold CONTROLfor up to 30 seconds to turn the watch off.
    2. Press and hold SET and GPS.
    3. Press CONTROL to power the watch on while holding these two buttons.
    4. After the first beep release GPS.
    5. After the second beep release the remaining button.

    I am sorry to hear that. The device likely needs to be replaced. I would recommend reaching out to Garmin Product Support to see what options there are.
