And a good day to you, sirs! I have upgraded from ain Instinct Crossover Solar to an AMOLED, also in view of a general update (with the Solar being based on the Instinct 2 while the AMOLED being a derivative of the Instinct 3, if I'm not mistaken), but mainly for the prospect of having maps on it instead of just the shape of my route placed in the blank quadrant.
Later I checked (I never learn, I take some things for granted instead of researching beforehand) and I'm beginning to fear there's no easy way to get actual maps, especially combined with a normal activity or a planned workout.
If I'm getting things right, the Instinct series does not have integrated maps out of the box, and the best way to get them as a data screen inside of an activity is the dwMAP app downloadable from the IQ Store, even if you need your phone with you as the maps can't be downloaded and used offline, not even for a planned route.
However, I can't find the app for my watch. This may be because of the physical hands, that must be controlled to make the application compatible with it, at least leaving them horizontal to avoid them being in the way, which require the screen being split in two and nothing of value being displayed in the middle section though.
Am I correct? Is there no way to have a map data screen for navigation on the Crossover AMOLED?
