I can't install the update on my Solar, it says I don't have enough memory.
Also on my device I have auto updates active, so why isn't it updating?

After clearing previous activties I was able to have Garmin Express do the update.
But now it says 5.21 is the latest version, which it clearly isn't.
Is there any way to fix this?
I do not think you can have 84 MB free on Instinct 3 Solar, that's about the size of the entire storage, but a big part of it is taken by system files. On recent versions of the firmware, you can have up to some 50 MB free (with no activities or other user files). On older versions, it was only around 15 MB, often even less.
My Solar with cleaned up activities shows 46.6 MB free:
You can clean up the following folders, to make the needed room for the firmware update:
You could also remove some unneeded Connect IQ apps, if there are any.
Then try updating again either through Garmin Express, or directly from the watch's System » Software Update menu
Yeah, you're right, ik have 17,6 free now,
After deleting the things you suggested I was able to update, but it says the version is 5.21 which is not the latest.
After disconnecting from the computer my watch finally got the latest update!
Thanks for the help!
