Why I don't get the latest software version

I have been using the instinct 3 solar for 32 days. From the first moment I connected it to Garmin connect it updated but it is version 5.21 but as of today it does not update to the latest version. I appreciate if someone can help me or at least explain.

Early firmware versions had relatively low free storage available, which could lead to failed updates when the free room was not increased by cleaning it up. When you connect the watch to a PC over the USB cable, how much free space do you see? If it is less than some 17 MB, then you can clean up the following folders and files, to make the needed room for the firmware update:

//GARMIN/Activity/ - all files
//GARMIN/RemoteSW/ - all files
//GARMIN/Debug/ - all files
//GARMIN/Courses/ - remove unneeded courses
//GARMIN/Workouts/ - remove unneeded workouts
//GARMIN/gmap*.img

You could also remove some unneeded Connect IQ apps, if you installed any

Thank you very much. Now I just need to read the new features of this version. I guess I will have to do the same for the next updates.

No, with v10.16, there is much more accessible free storage. Typically 40-50 MB free room, largely sufficient for any updates. Cleaning up the Activities folder occasionally, is a good practice anyway, though.
