[I3S 50] Pool Swim Stats Report Bug <- Please Garmin Dev have a look at this one !

When using report to track mean allure for Pool Swim activities, i have discrepencies between data shown on the report chart and data from activities :

Report chart : Note today it shows a mean allure of 2:26

Data from exported csv from screen above : shows 2:26 for today and another value 2.43. First line of csv is not really clear ...

I would rather label values like : Date, Decimal Mean ? Allure, Mean Allure

Allure moyenne
,Valeur,Allure

Activities List showing 2:09 for today, different from 2:26 in the report chart.

I guess there is a bug in the report chart generator ?

  • It looks like the report and the CSV export use the total time for calculating the average pace, while the activity overview calculates with the moving time instead. Using the data from the overview, I get the same pace as in the CSV export:

    (100*(3600+240+32)/2650)/60 = 2.435 min / 100 m (which is indeed 2:26 min / 100 m)

So basically, both averages are correct. Though, the column in the activity list should be correctly labeled "Avg Moving Pace" to make it clear.

  • You re right, though it would make sense to use same metrics thru the app

Do you know if Garmin Dev Team is tracking forums posts to fix bugs or if there is another way to report a bug in order to have it on the bugs to be fixed list ?

No, they are not. Occasionally a wide-spread watch related issue may get forwarded to the devs by the moderator (though it is quite rare). At app related issues it is even less probable.

or if there is another way to report a bug in order to have it on the bugs to be fixed list ?

  • Opened my first ticket with garmin following our discussion.
Wasn t really expecting an answer that look automated to me or very bas response : Reboot your watch and reinstall Garmin software on you PC ........
Thought they would be more professional. Even some chinese *** stores are better at answering tickets !
