Watch restarts when viewing a glance - Solar 45MM

Anyone else experiencing this problem on the Instinct 3 Solar 45mm?

Each time I select glance, whether it be weather or temperature, the watch will restart at random.

I have also this problem with my Instinct 3 Solar 45 mm. It does not always restart, but too often. I am returning my watch. This is not ok.

Two things:

Only Solar models have this issue.
Issue is very random and could not occur during entire week. I personally had last reboot today (v9.25), first in entire week or even two.

Update July 23, 2025:

Garmin has potentially identified a bug causing Instinct 3 series devices rebooting when accessing widgets/glances and working to have a software update to resolve this. At this time, we have not identified a work-around but have found that the widget/glance can be accessed after the device reboots. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to have a software update soon.

Maybe it just me but I have experience this issue since the model 2x. I was hoping to not experience it with the new instinct 3 but seems like the issues persist. I really like Garmin but I I will just switch to coros they have their own bug and problems but at least they have a good customer service (base on my personal experience)

Our engineers feel they may have a solution for this, with the latest BETA Sw version 10.21. If you are experiencing this issue, you can access this update by joining the BETA program, and this will be delivered Over the air. Otherwise, this will be included with the next Live software update.

Well, there are many reasons this could be in the software... It could be an invalid memory read, an use-after-free, a wrong pointer or data somewhere... If it's a crash what's causing the reboot then it's likely it's a software issue.

It could also be caused by a HW fault, but even in that case there could be ways to work it around in software, so I'm personally looking forward to trying the new version, see if that fixes it.

Engineers should test and know if someerhing works or not, not "feel" if bug is fixed.
