Current status of software and components

For a better overview when updating the software, I would like to see a separate thread that also provides information about the current versions of the individual subcomponents.

It would also be nice if this topic remained here and the faulty functions were discussed in specific threads, as before.

The easiest thing would of course be if Garmin-Laurie communicated the relevant versions directly when announcing new software.

Currently:

Software Version 6.28

GPS 11.01

CIQ 5.02

BMX 18.1.4

BLE/ANT 1.04

SNS (Sensor Hub ) 32.19

Firstbeat: ETE 6.22.0.3 LHA 2.8.0.3

In the past Garmin provide some page for changelog, by watch and components, but since some years it's not the case, only System.

I fail to see what your reply has to do with the Instinct 3...

Everything you want would be shown in the beta program change log. Hardware information as well as upcoming firmware fixes/improvements etc. Alas, there isn't a beta program yet for the I3. I'm sure it's coming soon-ish.

History of changelog and component version, Garmin did it before. Garmin indicate the change for some Series too, without indicating which changelog line is link to component version change

Garmin will not "do" it, and if you want to follow when it change, you need to track it by yourself, and it's difficult to bond changelog with su-component version. Sometimes this explain some new behaviours or even issues

Most of the component are the same, like F7 or FRx55, for illustration and comparison. to search for the nformation and impact.
