The usual ones - connect to Garmin Express (for the firmware update), do the hard reset, and go through two full charging cycles, and see whether the battery gauge calibrates better, after all of that.

Update it to 6.28

My buddy’s solar one 6.28 is not available yet. May I ask. After 6.28 does your battery then display longer life?

Connect the watch over the USB cable to a computer with Garmin Express and check for updates with it. Or on the watch, go to System » Software Updates » Check for Updates. Though the first option is definitely recommended, safer, and also faster.

Yes but as I posted in another thread, if the HR is off and you turn the connection off to the phone, it displays less days than if it was connected. It’s the same issue that the Fenix 7 series has had for awhile now.

I was bummed for a couple of days. Left the watch in the box in my desk drawer. Today I had the time to play with it. Once it got the software update via Connect App from Garmin from my Android phone. It changed from 10 days to 25 days. So now life is bright on the Garmin Instinct 3 Solar side. I am all for charging a watch once a month. Only reason for the upgrade from the original Instinct, as that battery has started draining faster due to age.

I'm experiencing the same issue.

I gave it some time and eventually the latest update was picked up by the watch. The suggested update fixed all issues.
