Instinct 2X less effective solar charging compared to Instinct 1 Solar?

so you have checked exact working time, you know for sure that your i1 worked for 49 days and i2x only 41 days without charging?

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I understand that bigger battery is longer charging time, but that should still boost the remaining capacity equally.

It is not the actual working time, just calculated by the watches' battery indicator.

I think Instinc 1 is way off, today in went up to 78 - I have never seen 78 days when I charged with the cable. I think it may do the calculation supposing that tha sun intensity will remain the same.

In the meantime the 2X gained 2 days :D

Ok, one more day and the Instinct 1 shows 137 days remaining...so it is definitely off :D then I charged it fully on my PC, it is up to 201 days :D will see about that :D

My guess is that somehow the accelerometer of your Instinct is disabled, that's why it estimates so much autonomy. Try to use the accelerometer via backlight wrist gesture and check if that's the case.

would be carefully with these Garmin battery estimation, in my case (2X) they never match and are way off even after multiple cycles if de-charging down to 0% and charging it back again to 100% to calibrate the interbal charging controller
