Watch OS 16.11 -GARMIN ARE YOU LISTENING - Issue with accuracy of heart rate monitoring on instinct 2

Where did you read the reviews. No problem with mine on 16.11

I will find the exact one which was reported after updating to 16.11.. solars version drain problems are known too. Found this one. forums.garmin.com/.../cyclical-heart-rate-inaccuracy

With a solar version and 16.11with Bluetooth on for 18 hours a day  and the default watchface (the one with seconds updating all the time) i have a drain of 3% every 24 hours. I bought the watch 2 years ago from an official Garmin retailer.

Thanks for the response. I too bought a new one from a Garmin retailer. But we all know that all Garmin watches sold are genuine, else the app won’t recognize them. There are refurbished ones too being sold on ebay. Essentially all new watches needs to function the same exact manner which is not the case here. Garmins16.11 is still buggy. I got an another solar watch which is still on 13.21. Everything functions perfectly on that one.

How come mine works fine on 16.11? I believe that the heart rate innacuracy you mentioned has to do with other factors depending on the conditions you tested with.

Sitting at my desk, HR drops to 70, 65 and then 50. Climbing stairs 70.. none of these reading are right. Went through the FAQs and tried everything.. still no good.. reset the watch and cleared all data too.. same thing. Got rid of it yesterday..

And with the new watch what do the readings show?

New watch - climbs and drops gradually based on activity and not erratic dropping 20 bpm randomly.. Sitting 65-70, walking 85, stairs 90.. other watch I got rid of was working perfectly out of the box OS version 13 until i updated to 16.11

This happened twice on mine. I think It has to do with low  blood flow on extremities especially during cold weather.

I'm facing not only HR sensor problems but probably, accelerometer issues as well.
So far, only during the treadmill exercises. The watch sensors are getting around a 5m delay to start to collect the metrics.
