Any had issue with unresponsive button?

So the GPS button on my I2 is becoming a pain, Garmin would replace but I’m wondering if there’s any way to fix as sending it in getting replaced etc means being without a watch 2 weeks+

I did the wash in warm water which did nothing.  It seems to just take notions of not working, it maybe works once out of 10 times but then when you get it working it seems okay all be it you have to press hard but then it stops working again after a short while.

Anyone else had this?

    Usually it is enough to let the watch for a few hours in freshwater. However, once I had to deblock a mushy I2 button with a bit of WD40, but it is a dangerous operation that can harm the watch, if it penetrates inside. It may also damage the sealing. Especially take care it does not enter anywhere else than ultimately necessary, especially around the bezel, or into the pressure sensor orifice. My I2 survived, but I would not do it on a watch under warranty. Rather ask them to send you the new watch in advance against a deposit. Usually they do it without problems, but it may perhaps differ from country to country.
