HR on my Instinct 2X Solar is all over the place during first 10-20 minutes of elliptic training, even if I keep my arms still on the fixed handles of the machine.
Resting HR is usually pretty accurate.

bug still present. hr is accurate in every other app.
Hi, I am new to Garmin ( ex Fitbit) some of the stats don’t make sense yet. I am going intensity points sitting on my sofa RHR 70 ish ???

I do not quite believe it comes from the activity profile, but if you want to exclude or confirm it, try doing the elliptic training using another activity profile (for example Cardio). You can then change it to Elliptic later in Garmin Connect. If you get better results with Cardio than with Elliptic, then you are probably right, and there may be a bug. In that case, report it to Garmin's Support. If you get similarly wrong HR using a different activity profile, then it is because of optical noise signal induced byt the movement. In that case try adjusting the position and fit of the watch, or even better - use a HRM chest strap.
