Altimeter and barometer mode and accuracy through controls

I have 2X Tactical 

I calibrated altimeter and barometer through GPS and i use auto mode on both 

Accuracy was very good for two weeks. Altimeter very stable (+/- 5 meters on 15 days) during weather changes. Very accurate readings during hiking or even driving. Barometer readings very close to nearest national weather station (+/- 0.3 mb)

Last day i tried to view altimeter and barometer through control button. I liked that it keeps altimeter or barometer on watch face permanent, until i manually change it. But accuracy is very different and not accurate enough. Altimeter readings changes very fast at the same place (+/- 20m in a couple of hours). Barometer not very accurate ( +/- 2 or 3 mb compared to weather station in a few hours). 

I wonder if altimeter or barometer mode selection goes from auto to altimeter or barometer mode, when i use control for those sensors. Because i didn't change mode selection and when i check it looks thattey are still in auto...

    I am afraid nobody here can tell you for sure, but I guess that it is indeed well possible that when you open the ABC widget, that it locks the sensor into the altimeter-only mode, similarly as if you started an outdoor activity. So if you want to prevent it, rather just consult the ABC screen briefly when you really need to.

    Its not a big problem, but is very strange. Viewing altimeter through control menu is the only way to keep seeing elevation on watch screen for as long as you want. But is very obvious that altimeter operation is quite different, probably like altimeter only mode. Anyway thanks for answering
