Endless Loop Instinct 2X Solar

Dear Garmin Support Team,

I recently purchased the Garmin Instinct 2X Solar during Black Friday, and unfortunately, I am experiencing issues during the initial setup.

First, I want to mention that I have been a long-time Garmin user and truly enjoy your products. My original Instinct Solar (Gen 1) has served me well, though its battery life has gradually degraded. I was excited to upgrade to the Instinct 2X Solar for the enhanced features and functionality. I've successfully set up multiple Garmin devices in the past, including the Edge 1040 Solar, Instinct Solar, Edge 130+, HRM-Pro, Index S2, my wife's Vivoactive 4S, and the Speed and Cadence Sensors (2nd Gen), all without any issues or needing to contact support. However, with the Instinct 2X Solar, I've encountered an unusual problem.

The Issue:
After unboxing the watch, I followed the setup instructions using the camera app on my Google Pixel 7 Pro (which is fully charged and running the latest system and app updates). The watch successfully connected to the Garmin app, and syncing began. However, once the sync was completed, the watch entered an endless loop where:

-The Garmin logo displays for about 40 seconds.
-The screen goes blank.
-The cycle repeats.

Troubleshooting Attempts

Soft Reset:
I held the CTRL button until the screen turned off, but the endless loop resumed after restarting.

Factory Reset:
I followed the factory reset procedure described in your support articles (holding the ABC + SET + GPS buttons, releasing CTRL, and then following the beep sequence). After completing the reset, I attempted setup again but encountered the same looping issue.

Garmin Express (Desktop):
I bypassed the phone app and tried connecting via Garmin Express on a fully updated desktop OS. Again, the watch synced successfully but then returned to the endless loop.

Given these efforts, I am unable to complete the setup process. I'd appreciate any guidance or troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue.

Thank you for your time and assistance. I look forward to your response.

Best regards,
Jorge Gonzalez
