The watch system version is 16.11. I am a Chinese user. I found that last night my sleep data, heart rate, etc. were empty. Then today I found that when I detected the heart rate, the optical element behind the watch did not light up, so the heart rate was not detected. Then I restarted the watch, and the fonts, apps, dials, etc. on the watch disappeared, but it could still synchronize with the mobile APP normally. I connected it to my computer and used Garmin Express to prompt me to update. After the update, I set the language to English. After setting it to Chinese, it will be normal.
So, I'd like to know what might be causing this problem so I can prevent it from happening again

    Sounds as if the main firmware was updated to the v16.11, but the Sensor Hub (SNS) firmware…

    Sounds as if the main firmware was updated to the v16.11, but the Sensor Hub (SNS) firmware was still from the older version. On the other hand, the last time the SNS version changed, was when the main firmware v14 was released, so it is difficult to tell without knowing which main firmware version and which SNS version you had originally.

    The best way to avoid the mismatch of the main firmware and the other firmware subcomponents, is disabling the software auto-updates in the System settings of the watch, and only updating manually from Garmin Express. Unlike at the unattended OTA updates, when you update from Garmin Express, all components are downloaded, and installed in the same time.
