New Instinct 2X has green solar panels

I was just sent a replacement Instinct 2X and the solar panels are tinted green whereas my previous 2X was tinted red. Has anyone else seen this? Does anyone know why this is? The colors do shift around a bit as the angles change, but the old one is always distinctly red and the new one stays almost entirely green.

Like many others on the Instinct 2X forums, I too get a poor battery life relative to stated specs. With 10% backlight, no BT, SP02 only while sleeping, DND throughout, no GPS activity at all and gym based activity 2 x 30 minutes a week, backlight coming on after sunset only, I lose about 10% a day. This is a complaint by many other users and I wonder if Garmin improved the solar panel for better charging?

The PulseOx sensor is one of the most power hungry components of the watch, so either disable it, or live with the higher power consumption.

Agree. Battery specs are based on default settings and typical usage.

I noticed that SPO2, BT & alerts (depends on no. of notifications from apps) and backlight drains the most batt. I use the watch both as a health and fitness tracker, so having smart features (notifications from impt apps like whatsapp) is important. So with these settings, i manage to drain as little as 3% a day and up to 5% if i get lots of notifications.

#1. SPO2 only for sleep

I think it's more light/reflection effect. Depending on angle of view and light conditions it could be reddish, greenish and red and green both at the same time.
