Instinct 2 Solar getting slower and slower?

After using my Instinct 2 Solar (ONE PIECE LUFFY, Traditional Chinese) for more than one year, I found that the watch becomes slower and slower. Sometimes when I press a button, I have to wait for about several seconds before it changes the screen to the corresponding display.

Any user having the same issue?

  • uninstall IQ staff, restart the watch and see if it becomes better.

  • Same, mine was getting slower. I uninstalled bits from iq store and it's back to normal speed now

  • They are 'slow' watches for sure. The speed though isn't a concern for me on my I2X.  The only time I notice it is when saving an activity compared to my Epix 2. No biggie to me.  But for the OP, it getting "slower and slower/sluggish," that's an odd one.  Call garmin support.

  • Hello

I am sorry to hear you are having this issue. I agre and , you will want to try removing any install Connect IQ apps. Once these are removed, I would recommend completing a hard reset. Hold the Control button until the watch shuts off, as opposed to selecting power off. Then power this on again.

If there is no change, ensure the watch SW is on the latest version using Garmin Express: Garmin Express

I would also recommend removing any stored files from the watch. This would include Activities, Courses, Workouts, Locations, Remotes SW and New Files.

    1. Connect the watch with a Windows computer
    2. Open the watch drive
    3. Open the Garmin folder
    4. Locate and open the above mentioned folders
    5. Delete the contents of these folders

Disconnect from the computer and powercycle the watch again.
