Garmin's product refresh cycle needs to change to yearly. The current cycle is too long and disadvantageous. If Garmin is not to go down like a Kodak, the innovations and upgrades need to be faster.

I disagree.  So many companies follow a yearly hype cycle to drive sales.  Garmin takes a bit more time but puts out a product that is thoughtfully designed and retains long-time customers.  They're not just making e-waste every year.  Few companies take this sort of long-term approach to growth anymore.  There's a reason Toyotas are so much more popular and reliable than Teslas, and it's not all price.

A lot of it is a matter of taste, but I think for many of us Instinct users, we'd rather have something bulletproof than have a shiny new toy every year.

In a parallel universe where I was the chief decision maker at Garmin, I would have made a 3 year plan to not launch any new watch models and fix all the bugs (not design limitations) and half-baked implementations in the existing software instead.

Buy enough shares of Garmin, or apply for the CEO (or similar) job at Garmin Careers, and you'll be able to suggest it to the Assembly or to the management. Apparently they need you.

Just like the entire thread with the advices what Garmin should do  The managment does not read the forum, so if you want to pass them a message, rather do as I wrote, or write them a recommended letter. Most likely it won't reach them anyway, but still you have a better chance than here.

as we very well know, on most threads here, Garmin won't act anyway (though expected) so at least let people discuss freely as this is why forum exists

Nie dziwi mnie to. Jeżeli ta seria nie ma podstawowych aktywności, które są już prawie od roku w innych seriach np: inline skating to ludzie sięgną po inną serię nie patrząc czy ta seria jest dla nich lepsza, czy nie. I2X jest świetny, bateria trzyma bardzo długo. Teraz na urlopie codziennie albo góry, albo skating (GPS full opcja), a ładuję prawie co tydzień.
