New Instinct 2X Solar Tactical Updated To Software Version 16.10

I just received a instinct 2x solar tactical from amazon. When I set it up in GC, and checked the system... about... it said version 13.xx. I hooked it up to Garmin Express, and after the software updated, it now says 16.10, and the highest version on the forum is 15.08.

Anyone know why this would happen?

Maybe the update is out before Garmin have published the notice. The current beta is 16.10.
