Solar charging in winter

Hi.
The watch manual states that solar charging works in the temperature range 0-60C. I found information on Garmin's support website that solar charging does not work when the outside temperature drops below 0C. But what does Garmin mean by "outdoors"? Be it the temperature outside the watch or outside the placement. I mean, will the 2X be charged in the cabin of the car in winter? It's charging great right now. What are your experiences with solar charging in winter?
  • Charging is pretty much non existent in the UK weather. I think maybe they should optimize it for charging under artificial lighting as if your outside it will charge anyway. I'm hoping the Instinct 3 will have more solar area maybe making use of the 4 dark areas on the bezel replacing them with more solar panels

Well, typical indoor lighting is around 1000 times less intense than direct sunlight, so I am afraid that there is no way Garmin could optimize the charging for such conditions, unless you want to wear a watch with the diameter of 1.6 meter.
