Would the 965 band fit the Instinct?

Has anyone tried the original 965 band on an Instinct?

It is a 22mm but with the traditional pin fitment. I know that both 965 and Instinct are Quickfit compatible but the colour and style of the 965 Amp Yellow/Black band is what I have been after.

The only way I can see it not fitting is if the area around the pin is too fat to allow it to properly mount under the face that overlaps the band mounting area!

Yes. Just tried it with a 22mm band and it was fine. So, provided the band you have is no different then any Garmin 22mm quick fit band it should work.

I do have the 22mm Electric Lime Quickfit on the Instinct currently and have tried a few from Amazon (which I liked) but these are too fat around the pin area and do not allow the watch to lay flat, or the band to swivel as it is essentially forced into place.

I only use Garmin quick fit bands as I do a lot of sea swimming so can't comment on those.. I had one 3rd party silicone QF band fail on me when swimming. Never used 3rd party QF bands again. I am a convert to nylon velcro loop bands though, even the 3rd party ones from AliExpress work well.

I only use mine for light workouts and cycling and use the Garmin QF for that.

The reason for the Amazon options was purely to use where a bright yellow wouldn't really go with say business attire
