VO2 Max no longer updating when hiking.

VO2 Max on my Instinct 2S last updated 3 weeks ago. I am not a runner, but I do a 2 hour hike w/ 1,900 foot elevation gain twice a week. Two hours on the trail, with my Average Heart Rate at 81% of Max.

VO2 Max had been updating regularly until April 28, then it stopped. No changes in my workout routine, but it's possible that I changed some setting on the watch.

Just spent an hour chatting with Garmin Support with no resolution. At first I was told that "hiking is not a qualifying activity," so my hikes wouldn't record VO2 Max. I pointed out that my hikes had reported VO2 max prior to 4/28. Support was able to confirm that hiking had recorded VO2.

Then I was told that the watch only updates VO2 every 30 days, unless you've exceeded your previous reading. Again, prior to 4/28, I got regular updates, whether VO2 went up or not.

Chat has ended, and Garmin says they'll get back to me via email. I wonder if this group has any insight into this issue?
