Instinct crossover condensation corrective action?

Hey,

My instinct crossover has severe condensation issue. it basically condensates everyday when I go out, because I am north east region and the weather was cold outside.

The condensation severely impacted my ability to see the information during the outdoor activity. While I love this watch, but this issue is really having me concerned.

I searched this form and reddit. Many people also have this issue.

Has Garmin provided an official response to this issue?

For those who has request an exchange, has the new watch Garmin sent to you fixed this issue?

Garmin representative please help answer this as well.

Per the support page, condensation may not leave until you "move to a warmer area". Which is kind of useless - I don't exactly have a way to move to a warmer area when on a mountain peak, and I'd like…

Hi,

My crossover had condensation every day when temperature is 8-9С and lower. Watch was changed by garmin (warranty). But second watch has same effect. i'm depressed. And it is not normal because i cannot see any info for most time of activity. I must heat glass by right hand for reduce cadensation effect, but after minute glass becomes to cold and it condensating as before heating.

Ask them change another one. Or refund now. I have second one still got the condensation but I keep it because I like the hands and weather here is not that cold many days a year. If your place is that cold in many days. Do not use it.

I can't believe those Garmin people keep saying it is normal. That is a very bad attitude. Even my second one still got the problem and they keep saying yes it is normal :D how come!

While Garmin might say it’s normal they also said

Unfortunately the Instinct - and especially the Crossover- just fails to live up to being an "adventure watch" as advertised. I'm keeping mine, as I don't trust myself to not destroy a less sturdily built smartwatch, but the software instability and random freezes/softbricks combined with an unreadable display means I might as well not have it at all on mountain trips, except for activity tracking and review after the fact.

I'll be purchasing a separate GPS unit next year for navigation etc.

And it won't be made by Garmin. I want to love the ecosystem - the picture they paint of their devices is compelling. But I can't trust them in the least, and that's pretty damning.

You say the truth. It is not an adventure watch when you need to go to warmer area while hiking just to remove the condensation to read the watch face. Hilarious
