Look in the menu of the watch » System » About. At APAC models, there should be APAC at the firmware version, AFAIK.

Ask the vendor, or buy it at an established reseller with good reputation, not located in Asia. Or buy the Instinct 2X model - there is no more difference between RoW and APAC. There is only one WW (World Wide) version.

Did you try checking for updates with Garmin Express? If it does not work there, there is little chance it would work with a manually side-loaded version, but if you want to give it a try, you will find side-load firmware in the Beta Program section of this forum (see the top menu Beta Program » Instinct 2 series » Announcements)

Yes, if checking for updates in Garmin Express does not work, you can get it on the local Asian websites of Garmin. For example here: https://www.garmin.com.sg/products/discontinued/instinct-2s-solar-onepiece-chopper/#updateTab
