I recently purchased the Instinct 2 (Solar) Tactical at our CANEX. Been wearing it for several weeks and as of late experiencing minor burns from directly under the green sensors? This normal?

  • Contact Garmin Support directly if you believe it is a burn.

However, it is more likely to be contact dermatitis. Remove the watch for a few days and clean the underside. Wear it on the other wrist if you still want to collect 24/7 data. Going forward, ensure you clean and dry under the watch at least daily.

  • Acknowledged and sincerely appreciated Sir.  I’ll give that a try as I do like the watch particularly for its many functions including Applied Ballistics and Jumpmaster.
Again, thanks for taking the time Pray

  • Totally normal, skin irritation I take it, no way the LEDs can burn you.  However I get hem all the time, swap between my wrist and ankles - kidding no its not normal.  Hopefully Philipshambrook's post will help.

  • Hoping it does as well Gonzo.  Makes more sense it’s a dermatitis issue albeit the wrist blistered. Not a show-stopper, just uncomfortable. Anyway appreciate the feedback Thumbsup

  • We are sorry to hear about the issue you are reporting. The skin irritation may be a result of build-up on the watch band and/or casing. You should discontinue wearing your watch until your skin has healed.
