Red skin under sensor

I got red skin under sensor. i had many garmins and never had this problem even in summer. wash my watch after every workout.

i turned on spo2 allday and after one day I got red rash. hurted if i touched it.

turned of spo2 and two days later rash is almost gone and it doesent hurt anymore

Instinct 2x

anybody else got this from spo2 on allday?

  • anybody else got this from spo2 on allday?

I do not use it all day, just had it on for the night during a year, and did not experience any problems with it (apart of the higher consumption). Perhaps, when the IR sensor is permanently on, the slightly higher temperature leads to a quicker bacterial rash development. Try disinfecting the watch with medical alcohol frequently, to see whether it makes any difference. Also try comparing the temperature with and without the PulseOx sensor on.

  • yes it could be from heat. i had it to overnight without problems. but day and night gets rash. i will test it again in couple of days

  • We are sorry to hear about the issue you are reporting. The skin irritation may be a result of build-up on the watch band and/or casing. You should discontinue wearing your watch until your skin has healed.
