Solar charging not working / disabled after device was connected to a computer with Garmin Express

My device, an Instinct 2s Solar does not use solar charging even in full sunlight after it had been connected to a PC. The PC has Garmin Express installed. A manual restart of the watch gets solar charging back to working state.

This has been tagged by the Garmin team, and their engineers are looking into it.

I would add that in addition to the problem mentioned in the subject, since this last update, when the battery is close to 100%, we will say between 95 and 100%, when the watch is exposed to the sun, it only charges by intermittent. One might think of security, but the sun at the end of September is no longer as strong as that of July. If you could also take this into account? Do you have an estimate for when this incident will be resolved and a patch released?
