My Instinct 2 Solar automatically recorded my 25 minute walk as an elliptical activity

This has never happened before- something new since the watch updated to 13.21 this morning.

Went for a walk (not starting an activity), and the watch auto recorded that I was doing an elliptical activity for 25 mins. Has this happened to anyone else?

If you do not manually start and stop an activity to best reflect the type of activity you are doing at that time, you leave your watch sensors to automatically make the best determination of what you are doing through your Move IQ feature. You can disable the feature if you prefer it off.

You can enable or disable the setting in your Health and Wellness menu.
