Instinct 2x Solar - Garmin Connect pairing Issues.

Greetings,

Just got an Instinct 2x Solar, and am having issues pairing it on Garmin connect for the first time to add it as a new device,

Already tried restarting the devices, both android phone and watch.

Uninstalled and reinstalled Garmin connect.

Am using the latest version of Garmin connect.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

So, download garmin express on your computer, and plug in your watch to get the latest update. Once this is done the watch will be registered on your garmin connect automatically and then everything works…

I found the issue. The Japanese version is called the Instinct 2X Dual Power and not the Instinct 2X Solar. Once I changed my location to Japan, the Dual Power was an option to connect and sync. What a…

Is Bluetooth enabled on your phone?

Some phones need to go into a pairing mode.. mine hooked up with my Garmin watch automatically.

What phone are you using?

Samsung Galaxy A33 5G, bluetooth is on.

I have the same issue with iphone. I'm on my second watch. I sent the first one back because I thought it was faulty. Same issue with the second one. I had an original instinct that connected with no problems. Help!!

Tried that too. Nothing works. Two watches now. Same thing. I even drug out an android phone and tried to connect to it. Nothing. I bought these watches in Japan. Does that matter? American iphone to Asian watch? I don't know. The atches don't seem to be transmitting on bluetooth even when trying to pair

If the serial number of your watch starts with 81 something like this then log in on garmin connect, go to settings, profile and privacy, manage garmin account.

After that log in on the website that will open, edit your info and change country to Japan. Then log out of garmin connect from the settings of the app and log in again.

Try to pair the watch to see if that fixes the issue

I cannot thankyou enough. I am on my second watch after going made trying to pair between my gone (Japan) and watch UK. Garmin support couldn't help and I was about to admit defeat. As soon as I changed this it worked! Insane.
