Instinct 2X sensors blink when it's not on my wrist

why would this be normal if the optical HR measurement is disabled and also no Garmin Pay is set up.

I am referring to the absolutely faint brief flickering of BOTH the red and green LEDs together (see the thread creator's video in the title).

This flickering is so weak that it is almost only visible in absolute darkness.

Also the red and green light up together is for me a sign that it is NOT normal behavior.

I think it is. There is no other way the watch could detect that it is back on the wrist again. How else would you want that the watch starts measuring your HR when you put it back on the wrist?

My Instinct 2 with firmware 13.19 definitely does not flash when the Wrist HRM sensor is disabled in the settings. No reboot was necessary - it stopped lighting immediately. Just tested. And yes, I know exactly how the dim flashing looks like, and was looking closely in total darkness for over 1 minute. It only flashes when I enable the sensor, and that's indeed how it was designed in order to detect whether it is on the wrist or not.
