Since some are still experiencing this issue, I would like to collect some additional examples to help our engineers investigate the cause of this concern. For this, I will reach…
Hello Nico B
I am sorry to hear you are having this issue. Since this is an older thread, this issue was resolved with a previous software update.
If you are having this concern, there are a few things…
Updated October 20th, 2023:
Our engineering team is working on resolving the issue as soon as possible.
If your HRV is missing, please try the following:
- Soft reset your watch by holding down your top…
This issue still exists.
Charge watch via PC and HRV chart disappears for 1 or 2 days.
It still displays an overnight average so it appears that the HRV value is still sound but who knows.
Thank you so much!!! When you say "restart" you mean to turn it off and on again, right?
I did that already today, so I hope I will see the HRV data tomorrow morning when I wake up. I have charged my Instinct 2 many times, and never had this issue before (I've had the watch for 6 months now).
Thanks again. I will let you know if it worked, so that it can be helpful for other users, too.
Yes, I select "power off" in the menu and then power it on again. "Soft reset" by keeping left top button pressed should work too, but I prefer "graceful" restarts in general. :)
Maybe Garmin re-introduced the bug in one of the recent FW upgrades, who knows..
Hello there.
I did reset yesterday (by keeping left top button pressed) and tonight everything has been perfect (HRV average, chart, maximum 5-sec value...). I will try next time with a "graceful" restart, as you suggest. Thank you so much for your advice, it really worked.
Antonio.
I just had the same issue again. I had to restart the watch to get the HRV chart back.
As I mentioned earlier—for what it's worth, every time I connect the watch to my PC using Garmin Express, I need to perform a soft reset on the watch for the HRV data to display the 'Last Night' graph on the watch and sync properly with Garmin Connect.
Did you connect the watch to you PC? If you did, just stop...
Yes, this error persists and Garmin is not going to fix it. I still have to do it that way.
