2x: Elliptical or cardio?

I upgraded to the 2x recently and noticed an elliptical training option.  I have an elliptical machine and wish to know what the difference between elliptical and cardio is when I record my activity?

Is one better than the other or are they the same?

  • Not much. Your watch collects the same data in most indoor sports, mostly HR and accelerometer to calculate burned calories. The only difference is the data displayed. So the results of the workout will be the same but you might find out your reps or estimated virtual distance.
    I just use my own CARDIO activity that shows me my HR elapsed time and burned calories when I go to the gym so I get a general idea of my performance when I'm done with all the machines.

    The algorithm may be different. You should always use the workout that matches the activity you are doing, unless there is not one. Then use cardio or other.
