Instinct 2X red tint under glass?

Just got my Instinct 2X and love it but there is a red tint under the glass best shown in this pic:

However in any other photos of the product on the Garmin website it is completely black.

What am I missing?

You are missing the Solar panel. Left has no solar

Yes but on the product page like this one below it's completely black:

The photo on the Garmin page is - like all promotional photos - edited. It does not correspond to reality.

Yes you are right, Look at the crisp Display of a Fenix 7 promotioal Photo, in reality thats not the case

It is normal for the appearance to seem reddish for the solar glass. With each new generation of our solar charging capable outdoor watches, the solar glass has expanded and become larger. When the Fenix 7 solar series was released there was a lot of debating on what color the solar glass was too. The color can slightly change under bright sunlight. All normal.
