Instinct 2 X is really very new this could explain the failure to read the Model ID

Software branch  is also different from Instinct 2/2S and Crossover, why Garmin ?

This is just a wild guess as I'm not the developer of the app, but it could be needing all those permissions to benchmark the access times of the various common API calls that "real" apps would make use of. If I were making a benchmarking app, that's the approach I would take to come to a final "score" on.

And if I were a developer trying to harvest all kinds of private user info for nefarious purposes, this is exactly how I would "disguise" my app to avoid suspicion.

Bottom line, anyone who wants my permission to gather all this data and send it who knows where is not going to get it.
