I have been using incident detection for a few months for mountain biking activities ("MTB" and "eMTB") and never had a false alarm - no crashes either so I don't know if the feature worked.
Last week I had the first false alarm: I was on the trail I ride most often. There is a short uphill stretch which I sometimes manage to ride and but usually I have to get off the bike and push. Unlike all the previous runs, this time the alarm went off when I pushed the bike and I didn't cancel it on time. Since then I had several false alarms: once when breaking at a red light (controlled, i.e. not an emergency situation), once while riding a fire road at constant speed - no braking or bumps. I tried to trigger an incident by going over a rough part of a bike trail which has a lot of roots and rocks but that didn't trigger any incident.
Has someone else observed this type of behaviour, i.e. going from no incidents to several in a week?
