Unable to setup new instinct 2x tactical

I am unable to setup my new 2x tactical on my s23 ultra. It crashes every time when choosing the compatible device during setup. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, cleared cache, storage, etc. I have rebooted all devices. My phone also says connect is crashing frequently. All devices are up to date software wise. I even tried pairing it manually, but that didn't help.

  • I am sorry there is an issue. Given your watch was just literally released, if you continue to experience the same Bluetooth pairing issue, please do not hesitate to reach out to Outdoor Product Support to speak with us about the issue.

  • Hey, have you tried removing and deleting your previous watch?
I had this issue come up when we upgraded our watches with Garmin. It will not let you sync a new device until the other has been removed entirely. No clue why it doesn't state so but try this and let me know!

  • I had an issue setting it up when I got it as well. The scanning of the code on the watch was new and all it did was take me to Connect and nothing else. If you have the ability, add the watch via your computer and then it may sync better after that.

Same issue here. I can't pair my Instinct 2X Tactical to none of my 2 iPhones and 1 Android phone. which means I can't unlock the Ballistic feature. which is no point to buy 2X Tactical

  • Same here with the Samsung S23 Ultra. All other Bluetooth devices work perfect. Just the Instinct watches wont sync. The 2X is even worse.

today I finally got it worked out. reinstall the Garmin Connect App. run vpn on your phone and connect to US server.  and before you agree user agreement , there should be advanced setting at the bottom and select the country where the watch was released. and then make a new account. my 2X tactical connected instantly. my first Garmin watch was bought from state side but I installed the app when I was  stationed in Japan so I should have agreed to Japan EULA (end user license agreement) . this wasn't a problem with Tactix Delta, instinct 1, and Decent G1. but some how this Instinct 2 and later models seems to have region problem. after week of research my 2X Tactical finna paired with phone. it seems all the pairing problems has something to do with stupid garmin account.

make new account and make sure the country you bought the watch and the EULA region matches.
