Condensation inside Instinct Crossover

Quite significant water condensation build up on inner side of the watch glass during activities in cold weather. Eventually it'll disappear, but until that the watch display is practically unreadable. Looks to me like a design issue. Is this a reason for a refund?

  • I also had my watch replaced under warranty but the new one has the same condensation problem.

  • I've had 3 different crossovers, all with condensation. I was just on a backpacking trip and couldn't see the screen at all. Many other hikers I ran in to had different model garmins and none of them were experiencing that issue.

  • Has the problem been solved? I have the same problem.

  • I have the same problem in Vietnam. Garmin support said that all instinct crossover models has this issue. They refuse to change or refund. Only say Sorry. WTH. *angry face*

  • Garmin support said that all instinct crossover models has this issue

I find that hard to believe. I’d suggest you reach out to Garmin Support again and insist to communicate with someone more senior.

  • Probably not.

My Crossover has the same problem. Data fields are readable during workout though. It's just annoying.

Last time I went running with my Fenix 7 I also noticed a small condensation under its glass (about 5 mm in diameter). I hadn't noticed before but once I had a problem with the Crossover I couldn't unsee it.

  • I called Garmin support again and they said they will try to exchange a new one for me when they get next batch arrive next week and still comment that issue probably appear on all the instinct crossover. That damn bad. They need to return my payment actually when this happen. I still get the picture with answer from garmin support admin to my watch distributor. Said that no exchange, they support only when some function is not working. That's hilarious. Bravo Garmin support :D. This picture in Vietnamese. Hope some garmin support can read this.

  • I exchanged 2 different crossovers and exchanged the third for the instinct 2x solar, which hasn't had this problem at all. I would reach out to them again. They shouldn't have a problem exchanging it.

  • thank you so much! I would love to have the hands on crossover but if they all come with the condensation I will try to change model.

  • I have the same problem, my first crossover watch had this issue, returned them to store, they gave me a new one and the same problem
