Update from 10.10 to 11.18 failed?

Today I got the notification that there is a firmware update available. I initially did nothing as I was otherwise busy but later on I went to settings to check. There was the update available thing and I proceeded with that. The watch started some short process and restarted then. I thought that the update was now done but when I go to settings to see the system information, it is still showing software version as 10.10 (4a98094). There is also no update available any more in the Software update. I restarted the watch manually to see if that changes anything but it had no effects. I wonder if something went wrong with the update? My watch is Instinct 2 Solar.

Go to Settings, System, Software Update and see if there is an option to install the update there. If not connect t9 Garmin Express and sync.

The same happened to me two days before. Finally I noticed bluetooth firmware updated BLE/ANT 1.03 to 1.04. Hope you the same.

Saw the same thing here yesterday. Said an update was occurring but upon reboot still on 10.10.

There was a brief message about Bluetooth on startup but it disappeared so didn't actually see the details.

Dear Garmin, was this a Bluetooth only update? Who knows! Why doesn't the device's upgrade message not mention what is actually being upgraded so we can check it worked?

How did you figure out it was just a Bluetooth update? Sure, I know how to check the current version but what was it before this upgrade ran? Surely impossible to know?

How is it possible to know what is the latest software version in each region? I don't see any version numbers on the link you shared.

I was watching the update from start to finish. After watch restart, saw message "Bluetooth Updated".

For the link, you have to click "I agree and start the download", after you can see the version published as of now.

TBH I'm not sure that the screen asking for the update showed anything meaningful or maybe I would have paid more attention. OK - my bad!

If there was a 'Bluetooth Updated' message after the update Garmin really should make that stay on-screen until acknowledged so at least we know what happened.

Yes, I can see that BLE/ANT is version 1.04. So it probably was just that! I was expecting the 11.18 update so I assumed it was that.

Happened to me from 11.17 to 11.18. The update did not complete, showing last firmware, in my case 11.17. I think it is an error, check back later in System/Software update and 11.18 will show up again.

11.18 is the latest firmware, not just a BT update.
