Open water Map inaccurate

I have a Garmin Instinct 2 Solar

Using GPS+GALLILEO

Software Version 11.17

The distance I am covering when Open Water swimming in Meters is correct but the overlay on map does not match the Distance (last Open Water swim shows 1,566 meters swam but no distance covered on the map - see below).

This has only started happening over the last few weeks (see comparison picture of same swim from 3 months ago).

Can you help please?

Any advice please? Am I wasting my time putting the issue I have with my watch in this forum?
My watch is still not working for Map display. Should I be registering it somewhere else as I have not had any feedback from Garmin on how to resolve.

Hi,

I have Descent G1 and it has exactly same problem. It happened some days ago probably after firmware update. To be honest I still think it’s kind of progress because since the beginning my watch had problems with OW and low temperatures. At least it shows now somehow correct distance.
