HRV data post watch reset

I had to hard reset my watch. Unfortunately it seems that after reset my HRV has gone back to square one, which I can't understand since I synced HRV data with Garmin Connect.

Does this mean that all the HRV logic is done on the watch and not in the cloud and there's no true up between the two? If yes is there any way I could bring all the accrued data which sits in the cloud onto the watch somehow to avoid having to start from scratch?

Thanks for the feedback once again. That is weird. All data is there. Why not push it back onto the watch or resume trend from where the previous data ends. What's more if you own more than one Garmin watch and you wear them for different occasions HRV is worthless. So don't spend too much on Garmin hardware I guess (I wanted to have another watch for more formal occasions, I'm glad I didn't waste my money). That said apparently they are working on an HRV true up which hopefully will correct this situation.

It is one of the purposes of the reset to remove the HRV baseline and start anew. It is often needed, for example when the initial baseline was measured too high or too low, because of some atypical factors. Not a big deal, it is back in a few days, usually much quicker than the max of 3 weeks.
