How to remove rabbit card

Hi,

In case you didn't know, if you buy the watch in Asia, it comes with pre loaded unremovable rabbit card, which is a type of card used to access BTS Skytrain public transport in Bangkok, Thailand. I actually live in Thailand so it's handy, but there's a huge privacy issue.

These cards won't work without KYC, so if I decide to return or sell the watch, someone will have a rabbit card KYC'd as myself with my passport information. This is unnaceptable.

With that said, I am requesting a possibility to remove or invalidate the card for sale/return purpose.

Before someone advices me not to KYC - too late.

Before selling any watch, it is highly advisable to perform the Master Reset to factory defaults, which will remove not only the cards, but also all personal data from the watch. It is accessible through the menu » System » Reset » Delete Data & Reset Settings. Should it not help, contact the local Support.

Thanks for your input, unfortunately this card survives the reset. It's somehow embedded into the firmware.

Are you sure it is still associated with your KYC? Or perhaps you need to remove the Rabbit card from your KYC account - I know nothing about them, so cannot really help with it. If you do not find out, call the local Support - the number is listed on their website at https://support.garmin.com

I saw in the official FAQ that you can cancel the card at BTS Siam station. I wonder that would remove the card. It's been quite annoying to see a card that has no use for people who live outside of Bangkok. What's worse is you cannot even set the default card to a credit card.
