I'm attempting to use a half marathon training plan for the first time and can't figure out how to sync it to my Instinct 2 watch. The plan has been configured in the mobile app and showing the next workout is the benchmark run. I've tapped the "send to device" icon and been informed that it will be sent on the next sync.
The watch has synced with my phone multiple times, but the calendar on the watch shows no events from the menu. However, when I open the calendar fully or go into the training section of the running app, it shows a suggestion of "Base" which is a 23 minute workout at 15:20/mile pace.
Did I do something wrong setting up my training plan, or am I missing a step to sync the calendar to the watch?
Update: When I woke up this morning and checked my watch after the sleep data was synced, I saw that the calendar had updated showing a rest day from the training plan (I had originally unchecked Wednesdays when creating my schedule), and the running app had a suggested rest day. From the phone, I could no longer make any changes to the benchmark run, so I cancelled this plan and set up a new half marathon plan.
Is the trick to configure a training plan at least a day before you intend to start training? In the new plan, my benchmark is scheduled for tomorrow (Thursday), so I'm hoping it shows correctly in my watch calendar tomorrow morning.
