As the title states- I'm interested in this light, but I can't tell if the Instinct series can link up to it or not.

Yes. I've used it with the UT800/RTL-515 combo.
And no issues with thr brightness level changing with speed?
Not that I recall
Ok, thanks. I ordered one, lots of Garmin watches are listed in the compatibility list, but it's like it was never really updated. So hopefully no issues. THe feature is something I want for off-road MTB, but a bit less for city riding.
How's the peripheral lighting? I noted it has some lenses on the side.
Lenses on side are only to be seen not to see. If for MTB I'd consider using a helmet mount.
Ahh, thanks. It's mixed use with road and trail, but I have another, smaller light that gives a wider spread so I don't get that tunnel effect.
How noticeable is the apeed adjust for the brightness?
Confirmed that it connects to the Instinct 2 Solar, sometimes keeps getting stuck in "building light network" or whatever. The light is not that good by modern standards for the price and the smart stuff doesn't work well. Mostly because the battery doesn't really get extended (actually appears to be reduced), and manual override of the smart controls are bad. Even worse, there's nothing in the materials that says anything about an Ant+ stick for updates. So as nice as it looks, it's being returned. I don't want to say "junk", but it's not even worth the Black Friday price and running it on manual. This is a obviously a legacy product and no one is going through four menus on a watch or an edge to control this when it's also going to do whatever it wants anyhow or shut off.
