Can Instinct 2 watch be used as bluetooth GPS receiver for other devices. For example an android Ipad could get GPS location from the watch (using the appropriate 3rd party Android app needed for that function of course, just the same was as any dedicated GPS receiver like the Garmin GLO

There is no direct GPS position broadcasting available, but there is the LiveTrack feature that broadcasts the position and other data over BT to the phone, and then to the LiveTrack server. Another possibility…

There is no direct GPS position broadcasting available, but there is the LiveTrack feature that broadcasts the position and other data over BT to the phone, and then to the LiveTrack server. Another possibility would be using a Connect IQ app. I see for example this one, that would match your requirements: Gps Broadcaster | Garmin Connect IQ. There may be others in the store. You'd need to ask the developer to make it available for Instinct 2, though, first.
