Why is the heart rate monitor not compatible with the watch? What changes compared to the hrm-pro? Thanks for the replies
The post on FB is mine. I used my wife's account. Indeed, the answer is that the watch is compatible. Unfortunately I still have the doubt, but it is my flaw, since in the meantime I contacted the garmin…
In my opinion the list is up to date, there are models that have recently been released. So either it is an error or it is not compatible
The HRM-Pro is the better option overall but it will move when kicking off the wall at the end of a length. It does not stay in place like the HRM-Swim. If I want to use my strap in the pool I wear a Tri…

I dont own aby of HRM straps so I cant help further
I don't own the hrm swim, I would like to buy it but the Instinct 2 does not appear among the compatible watches from the garmin website, while in the hrm pro yes. For use in the pool, I was therefore wondering what the difference was between the two cardio bands.
Why is the heart rate monitor not compatible with the watch?
It certainly is. It is just not listed as compatible, since the HRM Swim is an old device, while Instinct 2 is relatively new. The list of compatible devices was likely not updated.
However, I'd rather suggest getting the HRM Pro anyway. HRM Swim does not support Running Dynamics, does not support standalone functionality, Intensity Minutes, all-day HR, Steps, indoor distance, ... HRM Pro (or HRM Pro Plus) is a much better device, for a small difference in the price.

AFAIK it had been confirmed in Facebook group by someone that owns hrm swim that it indeed works with instinct 2
The post on FB is mine. I used my wife's account. Indeed, the answer is that the watch is compatible. Unfortunately I still have the doubt, but it is my flaw, since in the meantime I contacted the garmin assistance service and they confirmed that the HRM swim heart rate monitor is not able, after the swim, to transfer data to the instinct 2. So I wrote an email to assistance but I have not yet received an answer, in fact, as shown in the faq link, they claim the opposite support.garmin.com/.../ 010-13118-00 & searchQuery = Swimming & tab = topics. I also offered myself as a tester :-)
It is compatible. I am using it for a few weeks without any problem. The HR data is automatically downloaded when the activity is finished and saved.
Perfect! Now I have to find the courage to buy it. Thanks for your feedback
Hello
I can't see the HR data on the Connect App
How do you use the HRM Swim with your instinct watch?
thanks
