Dog Tracking

There is no dog tracking widget available for the Instinct 2? I waited for 40 minutes on hold and when I finally reached support, they did not even know how to add widgets to the Instinct 2. They passed me off to the dog group who said I need to install the widget but they did not know how so they sent me back to wearables group. Another 45 minutes on hold later I finally hung up! After spending 4 hours searching for an answer in the internet, they do not seem to be compatible with the dog products no matter what Garmin says.

I have a Alpha 200i and Pro 550 Plus along with about a dozen other Garmin products (Fenix 5, Montana, nuvi, etc., etc., etc.).

Actually for the Instinct 2 it is in "Sensors & Accessories". Found it when I added my Tempe sensor. Way different than the Instinct.

Yes, but you will still probably need to install the widget, or won't you? I understood from your OP that neither you, nor the Support could find the widget on the new Instinct 2.

Well technically I guess its a widget but its not listed as a "Widget" like on my Fenix 5X or from what I see, the org Instinct. It is listed as a "Sensor" and both the collar and tracker must be on to install, I'll find out later today if the application remains after I install with the collar/tracker on and then turn off the collar/tracker.

Additionally, the only way I see to install a "Widget" as historically known is through my phone as there is no "Widget" option on the instinct 2.

As already written in the other thread, it is under Appearance » Glances (who are in fact just simplified views of the widgets), both on the watch and in the phone app.

Edit: actually you are right, on the watch the Dog Track glance is missing

Yeah, and all the YouTube instructions where for the org Instinct which where no good at all for that particular application and had me all screwed-up..

Works as advertised, now I just need to reorder the apps.................

I guess since most people use it as a training device, dog tracking is not that important or Garmin just decided that collars/transmitters are sensors which makes sense though you would think that set-ups would be common along all the product lines.
